Welcome to my fine art photography site! This Golden Red Dahlia was photographed at the Swan Island Dahlia Farm in Canby, Oregon.
The Dahlia was captured early in the morning just as the sun was beginning to rise and, you can still see dew drops. Dahlias are some of the most varied of flowers, both in shape and color.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures, and then incorporating the results into a digital painting.

Thom Zehrfeld lives in Newport, Oregon on the Central Coast and, is fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful spots in Oregon!
