The Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. Dahlias are perennial and indigenous to Mexico. There are some forty two species.
They are robust and very colorful! Dahlias rejuvenate, at least in the coastal area I live in, starting in May through late summer.
I combined this Dahlia image with a Fall background. It sort of the end of the growing season for the Dahlia and the beginning of Fall! My goal was to turn the Dahlia into an abstract impression.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.
