"A Real Fishing Boat" by Thom Zehrfeld
This is what you would call, a real working fishing boat! It is moored in Yaquina Bay in Newport on the Oregon Coast. In the background is the Newport Coast Guard Station.
It is all rigged up to drag fishing nets out into the Pacific, which is only a short ways away!
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.

Thom Zehrfeld lives in Newport, Oregon on the Central Coast and, is fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful spots in Oregon! The ocean, the beach, the sea's fresh air naturally inspires his art! There is always something exciting to capture with a camera! However, it's not all seascapes...Thom likes capturing automobiles, trucks, motorcycles. And, he travels many places to do just that! He uses mostly color, adding textures and, lately has gone head first into digital painting...giving some photos a dimension that allows for a very unique look.
