"Tall Ships" by Thom Zehrfeld
These are the Hawaiian Chieftain and the Lady Washington Tall Ships moored in Yaquina Bay in Newport on the Oregon Coast.
Each and every year they visit the Yaquina Bay Port and you can climb aboard for a price. You can even go out in the bay in one of them and fire cannons at the other tall ship...simulated of course!
In the background, is the famous Newport Historic Bayfront and fish canneries, along with the U.S. Coast Guard Station (white building and red roof) off to the left.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.
