Description
"World's Smallest Harbor" by Thom Zehrfeld
Depoe Bay is on the Oregon Coast and boasts the smallest harbor in the world. Go under the bridge and you are in the Pacific Ocean...a very short trip!
Depoe Bay was named for Siletz Indian Charles "Charley" Depot, who was allotted the land in 1894. Part of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and part of the movie "Burning Plain" was filmed in Depoe Bay.
Also, it is a hotbed of tourism...a very popular place for folks to visit!
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.
