Description
"Red and Cool 47 Ford Club Coupe" by Thom Zehrfeld
Thank you for visiting my fine art photography site! This Ford is from a car show in Newport, Oregon on the Oregon Coast.
The 1947 Ford Coupe and the 1946 Ford Coupe are almost the same except for some subtle differences. Both are aborted 1942 model because of the Second World War.
The 1947 model was identical to the 1946 except Ford then restyled the body slightly first by moving the parking lights from above the grill to below each headlight.
However, this is not reflected in the image here. That could be because in the first weeks of the 47's production the car was the same as the 1946.
As the 47 progressed, exterior moldings were changed from grooved to a smooth design. They received a new hood ornament. A new hubcap design became available.
The interior dash color was changed from red accent to gold. The final 1947 Ford models were titled so in November.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.
