"Low Tide At The Yaquina Bay Bridge" by Thom Zehrfeld

One of the most recognizable bridges in Oregon is the Yaquina Bay Bridge...located in Newport on the Central Oregon Coast. It was opened in 1936 and designed in the art deco style by Conde McCullough!

It was a beautiful bridge when it opened and, it is still beautiful today! This particular capture was made from South Beach across from the Newport Bay Lighthouse.

This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color.

The ocean, the beach, the sea's fresh air naturally inspires his art! There is always something exciting to capture with a camera! However, it's not all seascapes...Thom likes capturing automobiles, trucks, motorcycles. And, he travels many places to do just that! He uses mostly color, adding textures and, lately has gone head first into digital painting...giving some photos a dimension that allows for a very unique look.
