"Bayfront Buoys and Bumpers!" by Thom Zehrfeld

Walk the entire Historic Bayfront in Newport, Oregon and you will find buoys of all shapes and color. Go to Dock 7 and you will find thousands of them in a wide variety of colors, all attached to crab rings.

Crabbers use a particular color combo, sometimes numbered when they throw their crab rings off shore. They want to easily identify their crab rings from others when they retrieve them. This particular capture of buoys was made at a restaurant on the Bayfront.

This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect.
