Description
"Historic Patterson Bridge Gold Beach" by Thom Zehrfeld
The Historic Patterson Bridge is located in Gold Beach on the Southern Oregon Coast, and the Pacific Northwest. It is named after Isaac (Ike) Patterson, the 18th Governor of Oregon from 1927 to 1929.
The Patterson Bridge was completed in 1932. It was constructed in the Art Deco Motif. This is obvious in the details of the bridge.
The sun is starting to set in the Pacific and is casting a golden hue on the bridge. The moon is present in the capture. The seagulls (Western Gulls) are gathered on the grass waiting for handouts. The bridge is located on the famous Rogue River.
The Patterson Bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 5, 2005.
This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range (HDR) by combining three different exposures to give the image more detail and color, and then incorporating a unique painted effect
